How can a Quilter get-----
---- anything accomplished when----
Miss Abbie decides this is a delightful and peaceful resting spot!
Finally, starting to place my finished blocks, "All in a Row"
Kim Diehl designer, from her cozy lap quilts book "Simple Comforts".
This week I baked "Welsh Current Bread"...didn't last long...yummy!
Quilters gathered at Marge's house to stitch on the "Show Quilt" for the
Des Moines Area Quilt Guild Show event, October 2nd through the 5th. Pictured front left, Deanna, Marge, Virginia, Missie, right front is, Val, Helen's hiding :) and peeking out is Kathy!
Visit, Sarah and view Abbie's furry friends!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Dreamy eyes, Miss Abbie, will too!!!!
Hug's, Carolyn
Miss Abbie, I can understand you! Of course you love those beautiful blocks and you will help your 'mammie' to arrange them. Give her a warm 'Prrrr' from me.
ReplyDeleteAbbie just wants us to see how pretty she is! Happy Feline Friday!
ReplyDeleteI love the "All In A Row" pattern. I did a table runner from it in red/green/gold. I love your blue/brown version--at least that is what the colors look like to me from the photo.
ReplyDeleteFun to see your group quilting away. I miss the group of ladies that used to quilt together at my church once a week. Most of them have passed on now, but I loved that experience. Your group looks a bit more spirited! : )
'All in a Row' is lovely! And what a great group to sew with! The quilt they are working on looks lovely too.
ReplyDeleteGood to read a post from you! Pretty new quilt, hope you are enjoying your new sewing room!
ReplyDeleteI love your All in a Row blocks - it is going to be a gorgeous quilt. Great to be working on the quilt together like that - it looks as though it is going to be a beauty (from what I can see in the photo!!)
ReplyDeleteJust love those blocks! The brown wood they are on isa perfect color to set them with! See ya next week!
ReplyDeleteI think Miss Abbie likes that quilt as much as I do. Great job!
ReplyDeleteMiss Abbie is beautiful...and calico, what else? Lovely post as always...would have enjoyed a slice of that bread! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt! Precious Abbie...and is always in need of a feline "helper."
ReplyDeleteThe Welsh Current Bread looks simply delish! I would LOVE the recipe, should you be willing to share your secret.
Sending warm hugs...
Judy
Miss Abbie is so pretty - I would just have to let her have her way lay on my blocks! Speaking of blocks...I love the ones you are working on! Nice to see all of the quilters too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOf course, Miss Abbie needs to "approve" the quilt! She is so cute! I love churn dash and I might have that same book. I love Kim Diehl's designs, but haven't had time to make any of them yet.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, I loved your Miss Abby! And the Dutch table quilt, it's very nice ,too! Have a nice day! Hugs, Hennie
ReplyDeleteLovin' the All in a Row blocks... is that a pop of turquoise in some of the blocks? Gorgeous! Fun to see Miss Abbie in the heart of things... funny how they think it's all about them!!! See you soon!
