Fun Begins With Fall!!!
Chester get's perked up-- fresh paint job with help from my friend,"Carol".
It's this time of the year, crisp fall days and decorating with mums, pumpkin's and gourds.
Love the bumps and lumps on pumpkins!Finished my Jacobs Ladder quilt, Just received it back from the long arm quilter..
Diane did great work. I'm so pleased with the special quilting she did around the prairie points!
"Hello!" This visitor was posing for me---- I snapped a picture of her peeking over the wall of our lower patio!
"Huge snapping turtle", right!
I told you she was huge. She later strolled over to the neighbors--- dug a big hole under a tree and laid eggs. Who knows, maybe we will have little turtles some day!
"Abbie"--trying to hide in my sewing room!
Hope you are enjoying the all festivities that start this time of year!!
Carolyn
The list is spot on--love all those things about this time of year!
ReplyDeleteHi, Carolyn. Good to hear from you again. Your Jacob's Ladder is a lovely finish, and it appears that Festival of Trees will join the finished ranks soon. It is a very sweet pattern. Don't know that I have seen it before.
You always do such a nice job of decorating for the seasons!
It looks like you've been keeping busy making pretty quilts! I love your list for Fall, because I love FALL! I hope we get Fall soon. We vacationed in cooler weather, and then returned to hot and sticky. Bring on the sweatshirts and hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts. So pretty. Love the fall decorating. It's spring here in Australia & all the flowers are starting to bloom which makes me happy. :). Hello Abbie you look cute in the hiding basket. Hugs,xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome guy the scarecrow is. I used to have a big witch I made from panty hose and stuffing for her body. Made her a black witch's dress and bought a witch hat. She wore little black bikini underwear! At Christmas, I would dress her in a Mrs. Santa outfit. We used her at work for decoration for both Halloween and Christmas. Or sometimes on my front porch bench. I don't have her or Santa Claus that I made the same way. Had to give up some things when we moved.
ReplyDeleteLoved your post Carolyn I was fortunate to visit the States in the fall of 2013 and fell in love with the fall colours.

Jacobs Ladder is such a beautiful pattern. I love the colors you chose. Your mums and pumpkins set the stage for fall. I am so ready for that first frost to get rid of the mosquitoes.
