"Tending the Garden"

Artist, Steven Dohanos, captured this wonderful scene in 1951. One of my father's saying's was----- "It takes a heap of living to make a house a home!" ---- He failed to mention " heaps" removed to maintain tidy lawn, flowerbeds and garden. These are just a few "heaps" in our driveway. We're half way there ----YIKES!!!! Finished piecing Kathleen Tracy's (Crosses Mourning Quilt) design and ready to quilt ----this will keep me busy! Little "chicks" were hatched this week---to cute to stick pins in them! Hope you are having a great week! Hug's, Carolyn

Creating "green" projects!

Have thread-- will sew! I'm in my sewing room dressed in green and.....                                                gathered up some of my green "stash" and..... ...made a pin cushion and....  a small green doll quilt, too! "May you always have work for your hands to do. May Your pockets hold a coin or two. May the sun shine bright on your windowpane. May the rainbow be certian to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you."                                             Irish Blessings quote Hugs, Carolyn
